This Week:
IN THE NEST - European Exploration [1000-1720]
We will start exploring Europe's Migration to America!

We will discuss the first European influences in the New World. With the fall of Constantinople to the Turks in 1546, Europe was seeking a new path to the land of China - the NORTHWEST PASSAGE. That search lead many voyages and explorers to new territory, new cultures, and new conquests for GOLD and GOD.

REMEMBER you must have a U.S. CONSTITUTION DAILY. This is not optional....ever!

A QUIZ over the First 11 PRESIDENTS is coming next week - keep going over all their names (first and last). Here's a sheet in case you need another one.

  • Provide at least THREE QUESTIONS on 3x5 notecards [be tough, but since everyone will be using the same questions, including you, do not be TOO tough]
  • Come ready for a "test"/competition - study and prepare for any question on GEOGRAPHY (including North America)

If you need another copy, Unit I Sheet and Unit II Sheet can be downloaded here (although, these have already been graded).
