The people who were sadly killed were [...drum roll please...]:

Crispus Attucks - a freed black slave
Samuel Gray - a rope manufacturer
James Caldwell - an American sailor
Samuel Maverick - a seventeen year old boy
Patrick Carr - a feather maker

  2. Mr. Johnson, I have a question about the reading. If the Germans were on the British side of the Revolutionary war, why did they have Baron Von Steuben?

    1. Good question!
Germany, at this time, was not ONE UNIFIED country - it was several smaller "states" (or countries). The Germans that were mercenaries working with the British were from a German state known as HESSE. Von Stuben was from another German state (TheDuchy of Magdeburg) - so he was really not fighting people from his own nation.

      I hope that helps...
